Here’s a few words from Beth and Michael about how they planned their perfect day…
We had decided on a spring Easter wedding and stuck with that as our theme. Â Lumley Castle was the only venue we looked at, and we booked straight up after our visit! The grounds of the castle are so striking and was perfect for our themed day.
My wedding dress was the first dress I tried on but nothing like what I had imagined in my mind! The shop suggested that I try it on….and I loved it!! It was a princess dress and definitely blended well with the castle environment!
For flowers we stuck to our theme with spring flowers. I put my trust into an experienced florist, and was not disappointed on the day! The buttonholes were a beautiful blush pink rose and the groom had an ivory rose and lily of the valley.
We used spring flower names for our table plan and had little easter eggs as our wedding favours. Our colours were fresh spring colours, such as pinks, cream and green. We copied the flowers in my bouquet onto the wedding cake, and also had candelabras with flowers on for our table centres.
There are so many amazing memories but highlights include seeing my dad when I was all ready and having him by my side as I walked towards Michael, and sitting on the top table with Michael taking in the atmosphere of the day, watching all our family and friends. Â The speeches were another highlight, all three were touching yet hilarious and so well delivered.
When we chose Bride and Groom Wedding Photography, we had seen first hand the photographs from a friend’s wedding and they were fabulous. We also we visited Bride and Groom Wedding Photography at a wedding show and again was impressed with the work. Dave and Craig came across as friendly guys with a great quality, value for money service.
If we could give advice to anyone planning their wedding day, our advice would be to take your time and enjoy the planning. Be happy with your decisions and go with your instincts - it's your day!! On the day relax and enjoy yourself, it goes so quickly!
