We were thrilled when Danielle and Chris asked Bride and Groom Wedding Photography to be part of their wedding day.
Danielle and Chris chose to have their wedding celbrations at the stunning Le Petit Chateau in Otterburn, following an intimate wedding ceremony at the lovely St. Mary’s Church in Stannington.
Le Petit Château is a French styled luxury wedding venue and is a gorgeous setting with some great photo opportunities, and with Danielle and Chris both looking stunning, the scene was set for a perfect day!

Here's a few words from Danielle and Chris about how they planned their big day...
Chris and I wanted to share our day with all our family and close friends, and were looking forward to having a relaxed and fun day with everyone together in one room. When it came to planning the day, it was also very important to carry on the family tradition of getting married at our gorgeous family church at St. Mary’s in Stannington. Following the church ceremony, it’s every brides dream for her wedding to have that 'wow' factor, and Le Petite Chateau delivered that!
We had looked at several venues, and came across Le Petit Chateau on Instagram. We initially thought the venue would be way over our budget, but their winter packages seemed perfect for us! We enquired if the 2nd November was still available as this date had a lot of meaning for us both - we got engaged on that date and moved into our first home on that date. We went to view the venue and were blown away by it ... I actually cried! We instantly knew that this was the one for us.
Not only did Le Petit Chateau provide a luxury setting for our wedding day, but with all the gorgeous rooms it provided luxury for our guests staying at the venue. I would highly recommend the venue, they really know how to do a wedding and no matter how many weddings they do I found the staff made each and every couple feel special and individual.
Choosing the right photographer was something we both emphasised as one of the most important parts of the day, as the photographs are something we will never stop looking back on. We wanted someone with the right package for us, and someone who had been to the venue before. We came across Bride and Groom Wedding Photography and loved their photos, and the package was perfect for us. We met Dave, who seemed very professional but also made us feel so relaxed so we knew he was the right person to capture our day. Dave captured some stunning moments between myself and Chris and not only provided us with staged pictures but candid photos of everyone having a good time.
The day itself was perfect - one thing that stands out to us is when we were sat at our wedding breakfast after the speeches Chris stopped me to just sit with him and scan the room and take in all the people there to share our special day. It truly was the best day of our lives! However, one of our groomsmen enjoyed himself so much he was in bed by 8pm ... maybe giving him a hipflask as a wedding gift on the morning wasn’t such a great idea!! :-)
The photos made me speechless. I was so nervous for the end result, not that I had any doubt in our photographer just purely because I hate having my picture taken, but boy did Dave deliver. Luckily the weather was a crisp dry sunny autumn day and Dave captured this perfectly. Dave provided us with so much choice with different filters of our pictures as well as the originals. He also created a picture slideshow with backing music of our choice from start to finish of the day. This was a lovely touch and made me so emotional as it was nice to relive the day again through our photos. We have had so many compliments on how beautiful the photos are, with one person describing them as “out of this world” and another saying ”the pictures are amazing!” I would highly recommend Bride and Groom Wedding Photography!
If we could give advice to other brides and grooms, we'd say try not to stress over the small things or things not going perfectly, not everything goes exactly to plan but the day is perfect regardless. Relax and enjoy every moment of it, you will be so happy regardless of any minor hiccups because you are marrying the love of your life! Make sure you take time together to stop and enjoy moments of the day as it does go by so quickly.
