Sophie and Mark's Northumberland Wedding

Updated: May 22, 2019

Sophie and Mark decided on a lovely church ceremony in the village of Longhorsely, in Northumberland, followed by the reception and evening at Guyzance Hall.  Sophie and Mark were so relaxed throughout the day, and we got some great shots as we captured how things went.

Here's a look at how their big day went....

Here’s some info from Sophie about how she planned her big day…

I'd wanted our wedding to be simple, elegant and classy. I got my own dress and then tried to co-ordinate around that. I found some understated navy dresses for my bridesmaids and then we decided that the groomsmen would look good in navy too.

As our outfits were quite formal, I thought that wild flowers would be a good balance.

Mark wanted something he'd feel really good in, after all it was his big day too! He'd looked online and in some stores but really loved a Hugo Boss suit he spotted in Newcastle.

We'd talked to Dave from Bride and Groom Wedding Photography at our friends wedding and got his card.  What I liked about Dave was his relaxed organisation; he captured the day without the photography taking over the day.  When their photos came back, they were unbelievable.

It was so special to look around and see all our loved ones enjoying themselves, but if we had to choose one favourite memory, it would have to be my Dad's speech: "You've each found your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!"

Congratulations to Sophie and Mark from Bride and Groom Wedding Photography!
